Old age is setting in ...

I guess its time to put away my toys, so I'm selling one of the toys that I really cherish. If you are looking for a truly awesome Fat Boy, then you really want to look hard at this bike. I am the second owner of this 2002 Harley Davidson, Fat Boy. I bought it with 1300 miles on it. While I've owned it, I replaced the solid wheels with chrome wheels that you see to the left. At the same time, I replaced the tires, rotors, and brakes. I figured if I was going to take the wheels off, I might as well replace everything at one time.

I set the bike up so that I could ride it stripped down by myself. On those rare occasions that my wife rode with me, I slipped on the sissy bar, and if she complained enough the windshield as well. I think the bike looks best without those items, but it is designed to keep everyone happy. Not shown in the pictures is a jack (lift). I use it to change the oil and clean the bike.

Below is a list all the work that has been done to the bike. For the sake of comparison, I've included the cost of the bike with the options as it sits today. If you are thinking of buying a new bike off the showroom floor, you'll want to consider the cost of accessories (not to mention the time the bike will be in the shop). Personally, I think buying a used bike that has had all the work done to it, is the way to go.

The bike is stored in my garage (Washington, DC area). I would prefer that the buyer pick it up at my house. If necessary, I can make arrangements for shipping using the buyers preferred method. As for payment, in the good old days a certified check or bank check worked just fine. Nowadays, you hear about scams with cashier's checks. Cash works well, but we can work something out with a bank check if necessary.

I've looked at other bikes for sale, and I guess that I'm prejudice because I don't see many bikes that compare to this one (for my taste anyway). Now there are some nice custom bikes out there, but you're talking whole different price range. All things considered, I'm asking for $19,000.
